HSM To Run Four BMW's in NASA GTS3 This Year

2011 will bring new things to the Hi Speed Motorsports' racing team, as they will be running four BMW's in the National Auto Sport Association's German Touring Series.  Hugh Stewart and Luiz Serva will run in GTS3 as they did last year, but GTS2 Champion Jonathan Vasquez will be moving up to GTS3 in his Green Monster.

Cecil Ramotar has excelled greatly after a good two seasons doing Time Trial events to gain experience and improve skill.  He has officially made the jump to GTS in his white BMW M3, and will compete with the rest of the HSM drivers.

"I need to get my feet wet," Ramotar said. "This is a whole another ballgame now as I will have to battle for position on the track.  It's much different from any Time Trial event.  In TT's, you're basically racing yourself to get better laps. It should be a good season."

Last year's rookie Luiz Serva is looking forward to starting this year fresh.  After much difficulty with engine problems last year, HSM has built him an engine that will last him the entire season and then some.  His car will be the same white #54 BMW you saw last year, but with a totally new design scheme that strikes a very similar resemblance to Augusto Farfus' WTCC BMW E90. Stay tuned as there is more info and coverage to come for that!

Thanks to absolutely excelling in every race last year, Jonathan Vasquez was the 2010 NASA GTS2 Champion in the Northeast.  His driving skill and pure guts will definitely make him a fierce competitor in GTS3 this year.  Hugh Stewart finished third last year in the GTS3 points and is ready to come back this year for more.  His #22 BMW will be the same 'Green Monster' that we saw last year, but with a new design scheme as well.

The first race weekend takes place at New Jersey Motorsports Park's Lightning Circuit on April 16th and 17th.  Come out and support your favorite Green Monsters and have a thrilling time!
